Join us for a special community celebration in the beautiful grounds of heritage-listed Ninney Rise, the former home of environmental activist John Büsst.

This free, family-friendly event marks the 50th anniversary of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park – a milestone in conservation history.


Bring your family, bring your friends – and be part of this meaningful celebration of community, history, and the natural wonders that define us.

What to Expect:

Inspiring guest speakers
Live music and entertainment
Information stalls hosted by local community groups
Art displays celebrating the reef and rainforest
Delicious food and drinks available
ABC National TV on site to capture the day and hear your stories

Stalls and displays

will be themed around the reef and marine environment, showcasing the passion and diversity of our local community. Come along to learn, share, and celebrate the incredible legacy of reef protection that began right here at Ninney Rise.

Please note that there will be no parking at Ninney Rise. A free shuttle bus service will be running throughout the day. Details will be provided upon registration.
